The Spyderco Javier Vogt Tropen Plain Edge Knife is from custom knifemaker Javier Vogt who specializes in crafting intricate artistic designs, often showcasing exotic materials. This model is his first collaboration with Spyderco, and his skills are highlighted with having the ability to open this knife three ways. First as a flipper, second using the Emerson Opener, and third by the very functional Trademark Round Hole. The broad, dramatically curved blade is full-flat ground from CPM-S30V stainless steel and pivots effortlessly on special ball-bearing washers. It also features Spyderco's patented Compression Lock mechanism, which uses nested, skeletonized, stainless steel liners in the contoured, polished G10 scales as its foundation. Lastly a stainless steel hourglass clip is included on the end of the handle that provides a right-side, tip-up carry position.
